鄧鴻樹，台灣台東人，倫敦大學英國文學博士，研究領域為現代英國文學、當代英國文學、文學與科學。現任台東大學英美語文學系助理教授兼國際事務中心主任，講授英國文學、英詩選讀、文學專題等課程，致力推廣經典文學與當代文學的閱讀教育。經歷：《中國時報開卷》「歐美書房」專欄執筆、教育電台台東分台英詩與小說節目主講、科技部「西洋經典與現代人生—文學系列」講座。譯有《黑暗之心》(聯經)，著有《船長徹夜未眠：當代歐美文學的閱讀進行式》(立緒)。

HONG-SHU TENG is Assistant Professor at the Department of English & Director of International Affairs, National Taitung University, Taiwan. He received his doctorate from the University of London. His research interests include Joseph Conrad, contemporary English literature, literature and science. Dr. Teng is the former literary columnist for the Chinatimes Book Review, and has published the first annotated Chinesetranslation of Heart of Darkness (Taipei: Linking).

He is the author of 《船長徹夜未眠》[Captain's Nessun Dorma: The Present Progressive Tense of Reading Cont
